Japanese Noodle Brand Creates Seafood Ramen That Tastes Like Vanilla Soft Serve
By Izza Sofia, 10 Jul 2018
Ramen brand Nissin usually takes center stage when it comes to unconventional flavors that excite ramen fans worldwide.
A competitor, however, is stepping up its game with a new offering that is bigger that the usual serving. Noodle specialist Acecook has created ‘Super Cup 1.5 Bai’—which means ‘Super Cup 1.5 times’—that comes in the interesting flavor called ‘Vanilla Creamy Seafood Instant Noodle’.
This offering is said to evoke the flavors of eating a vanilla soft serve though the packaging of the product contains a disclaimer that reads, “Does not contain vanilla ice cream.” The ramen comprises rich and creamy seafood broth that exudes the scent of vanilla.
This new flavor has been rolled out for its anniversary and celebrates the brand, which has been satisfying the tastebuds of Japanese ramen lovers for 30 years.
The ‘Vanilla Creamy Seafood Instant Noodle’ is priced at JP¥210 (US$1.90) and will only be available in stores across Japan.
