Apple’s New Underground Store Hides Behind A Dramatic Yet Elegant Glass Fountain
By Yoon Sann Wong, 25 Jul 2018
Apple has opened its new store in Milan, Italy that sees its minimalist retail space tucked snugly behind a glass fountain and below a public plaza.
Apple Piazza Liberty sits near Corso Vittorio Emanuele, one of Milan’s most popular pedestrian streets. Visitors are greeted by the glass fountain at the entrance, before they descend a stone and metal staircase to enter the retail space.
The external plaza, which is open 24 hours a day, will be used to host special events year-round.
Similar to other Apple stores around the world, Apple Piazza Liberty will serve as a venue for ‘Today at Apple’, which includes “free hourly sessions on photography, filmmaking, music creation, coding, design and more, that aim to unlock creativity in all attendees.”
Apple Piazza Liberty official opens its doors on 26 July at 5pm.
