Samsung just can’t quit making fun of Apple. In fact, it recently launched a video series called ‘Ingenius’—a pun on its competitor’s Genius employees—solely to prove the Galaxy S9’s superiority over iPhone X. In the past week, it has ridiculed the smartphone’s download speeds and design flaws.
The South Korean giant has piled on the jokes with three new spots focusing on common gripes people might have about the iPhone X. The series’ setting is also a downright mockery of its rival—it’s a faux Apple Store with the logo intact.
In the first, Samsung makes jest of iPhone X’s notch, insinuating that no matter how much Apple expects customers to get used to it, it doesn’t go away. At the end of the clip, a family with “notched” haircuts appear. “Oh no,” grumbled the “Apple” employee. “They come here all the time.”
The next one critiques iPhones’ lack of microSD slots. Here, the same staffer consistently shrugs off comments from a customer, who doesn’t want to save her files “in the cloud.”
Finally, the third video denounces iPhones’ multitasking capabilities, which are comparatively limited against the Galaxy S9’s. The employee attempts to defuse the situation by complimenting the customer’s manicure. She replies, “Thank you, they change color. They multitask too.”
The taunts just keep coming from Samsung’s end. Luckily, Apple fans have a sense of humor and seem to enjoy these jokes too.
