UK’s government-owned coin production company, The Royal Mint, has unleashed two limited edition 50-pence coins to honor the 60th birthday of Michael Bond’s A Bear Called Paddington.
The basic variation, which is a wholly silver coin showing the bear waving the UK flag, is priced at just £10 (US$13), and arrives in a folder enclosed with story snippets.
The luxury version, on the other hand, will set you back £60 (US$77.80), and shows colored illustrations of the iconic character on both sides of the coin.
