With the exact date of Apple’s announcement and release for its 2018 iPhones drawing near, more information has surfaced with regards to its anticipated starting prices.
The lineup is predicted to include a 5.8-inch version of last year’s iPhone X, a 6.1-inch “budget” LCD version, and 6.5-inch ‘iPhone X Plus’.
Over the weekend, photos of Apple’s larger ‘iPhone X Plus’ made headlines after they were uncovered with help from iOS 12 beta. Hands-on video and photos of what could be the aforementioned model and the 6.1-inch version likewise surfaced online beginning August.
For those wondering how much dough you’d have to fork out for these latest gadgets, RBC Capital analyst Amit Daryanani has offered rough estimates for the starting prices of the 2018 models.
6.1-inch LCD model: ~US$700+
5.8-inch iPhone X model: ~US$899
6.5-inch ‘iPhone X Plus’: ~US$999
The high price point of Apple’s iPhone X became one of the major talking points when it debuted in 2017 at US$999. By lowering this for the 5.8-inch version, Apple could potentially help attract more buyers to the model.
