Nike’s decision to front former quarterback Colin Kaepernick for its 30th anniversary ‘Just Do It’ campaign has been met with backlash.
Unhappy fans protested against the brand and took to Twitter to voice out their frustrations. Some even went as far as burning their Nike sneakers and cutting off Nike’s ‘Swoosh’ logo from its garments.
Amid the critique, someone has decided to poke fun at the matter and released what seems to be a pseudo Nike instruction manual to ensure that the brand’s items are burnt in a safe manner.
The header reads, “HOW TO BURN OUR PRODUCTS SAFELY” followed by a four-step guide.
The instructions include starting a fire outdoors, avoiding close proximity to the open flame and “always dous[ing] the fire with water.”
The manual ends with a wordplay on Nike’s famous tagline. Instead of “Just Do It,” the wording has been changed to “Just Do It Safely” complete with ‘Swoosh’ logo. Check out the cheeky manual below.
