Replacing aromatherapy is ASMR, the world’s new favorite way to destress and induce sleep. KFC, being the colonel of comfort, is riding on this wave with yet another set of meditation videos.
Together with creative agency Mother London—the very same studio that brought you the hilarious ‘FCK’ ad—the chain’s UK leg has launched ‘KFChill’, a series of soothing clips that sound like they came from Mother Nature’s creations, but are actually recordings of food items cooking.
Viewers are, for instance, first presented with a video of rain droplets gushing down green leaves, but the background quickly changes, and they’ll realize it was playing a sound clip of frying chicken all along.
A blazing fire turns into sizzling bacon, and a recording of dripping water is actually simmering gravy.
The downloadable meditations last an hour each—perfect for those who gain enlightenment from fast food. Have a preview of what’s in store and hop over to the ‘KFChill’ site to relish in the sensual nature of KFC.
