Popeyes Serves 24 Karat Gold-Coated Chicken Wings To Mark Its 3,000th Outlet
By Izza Sofia, 05 Oct 2018
To honor the opening of its 3,000th restaurant, fried chicken fast food brand Popeyes took to celebrating this glorious occasion like never before.
It put a decadent twist on its chicken wings by hand-battering them in champagne and tossing them in edible 24 Karat gold flakes.
President of Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen Alex Santoro said in a press release, “We are thrilled to open our 3,000th restaurant and have even more guests enjoying our incredible fried chicken. We wanted to share this celebration with our fans, so our chefs cooked up something extra special for them. It’s a fun way for guests to celebrate this milestone right along with us.”
‘Popeyes 24 Karat Champagne Wings’ was offered for a limited one-day release on 4 October, as part of its ‘Boneless Wing Bash’ that contains six boneless wings, a side and a biscuit for US$5.00 at participating outlets, including its 3,000th outlet in Elizabeth, New Jersey.
