Classy doesn’t always mean expensive, as IKEA has proven.
In its latest campaign, IKEA Spain has teamed up with McCann Spain and MRM/McCann to create two spots that prove that the Swedish giant’s pocket-friendly furniture fits in any living room, no matter how posh it might be.
The first, titled The Jewel, embodies the stereotypes of a fantastical jewelry ad: a mansion setting, a gown-adorned protagonist, a gaggle of butterflies trailing her every movement, and even a unicorn.
At the end of the clip, a woman sneaks on set and reveals that an IKEA cabinet had been fusing into the background all along. Speechless, the main character takes in the living room to look for more products that might hail from the flat-pack furniture brand.
The second is called The Clock, and shows two partners in the moment of passion, only for another man to walk in and bring up the fact that they were about to get all loved up on an IKEA sofa.
