Aside from the iPhone launch and anticipated October event, Apple seems to have had an extra keynote this year.
Following his visit to see President Trump at the Oval Office, rapper Kanye West popped by an Apple Store in Washington to deliver another speech.
According to Religion News Service reporter Jack Jenkins, who was present at Apple Georgetown at the time, West asked to give a “keynote” on top of one of the location’s oak tables, to the un-yeezyness of some customers.
Jenkins said that West announced he had designed a cap for Trump that read, “Make America Great,” since the word, “Again,” in the MAGA slogan “hurts black people.”
West then showed his audience a photo of Trump wearing the hat through his iPhone.
Apple staffers declined to comment on why West had stopped by at the store, though footage uploaded by Twitter user Americaslilbro suggests that he had been there for a Genius Bar appointment.

He’s announcing he made a hat for Trump that says “made an updated hat that says ‘make America great’ without the ‘again’...and Trump wore it!”— Jack Jenkins (@jackmjenkins) October 11, 2018

Apple Store employees wouldn’t comment on why Kanye was there, except one under his breath.— Jack Jenkins (@jackmjenkins) October 11, 2018
Me: “Why was Kanye here?”
Him: “Man, I think just being extra.”
