Huawei Debuts World’s First Smartphone That Can Wirelessly Charge Other Phones
By Yoon Sann Wong, 18 Oct 2018
When it comes to android phones, Chinese brand Huawei seems to be coming in fast, fierce, and strong.
After launching its ‘P20 Pro’ with triple Leica-made cameras that crushed Apple, Samsung, and Google earlier this year, the brand moved on to boldly and cheekily hand out special chargers to Apple fans queuing for 2018’s iPhones.
Now, it’s unveiled the Huawei ‘Mate 20 Pro’, co-engineered with Leica, that offers the world’s first wireless reverse charge. That is, you can use this gadget to wireless rejuice other phones that similarly support wireless charging.
Watch this demo video of its reverse wireless charging by Straits Times below.

The Huawei Mate 20 Pro literally just changed the smartphone game and people are overlooking it because they don't have the marketing power of Apple. Under the glass fingerprint reader and REVERSE wireless charging?! While fitting 3 high DxOMark scoring lenses on the back?!— JOSIAH (@LKoorland) October 16, 2018
The new huawei mate 20 pro can wireless charge another phone.... Does that mean if you have 2 of these you can charge each other for infnite power? 😂— Fuad J (@StellarVagabond) October 16, 2018
