For the second year running, The New Yorker magazine has pictured US President Donald Trump. Last year, high on the wave of the IT film, POTUS was illustrated as a menacing clown.
This time, there are no frills or red noses—just a kid dressed as the president in his everyday gear.
For its Halloween issue this year, the magazine selected the illustration of San Francisco-based painter Mark Ulriksen, a contributor to the publication for over 20 years.
Ulriksen’s colorful artwork depicts a group of children, dressed up for the spooky holiday, evading a kid in a Donald Trump costume.
A few extra details add to the hilarity of the cover. There’s the Scream mask in the center, a runaway devil, and grimacing jack-o-lanterns. Even a black cat is pictured shrieking at the sight of ‘Trump’.
The New Yorker magazine’s Halloween issue hits newsstands on Monday, 5 November. Could 2018 be the most frightening year yet?
