While condoms aren’t meant to help create lives, they sure as heck can save them. This year, Durex wants you to ‘Give a F**k’ about HIV.
In its latest campaign, the condom maker has joined forces with nonprofit (RED)® to fight sexually-transmitted infections (STIs) in Africa, where about 7.2 million people are believed to be living with HIV or AIDS.
For World AIDS Day, the duo has launched the ‘(Durex™)RED Extra Sensitive’ condoms, which are now available on Amazon and other select retailers like Target.
The brands will donate US$0.84 for every purchase of the special edition 42-piece pack and US$0.35 for every 12-count pack to ‘Keeping Girls in School’, an educational program that informs young women about HIV infections and pregnancies, as well as improves access to services related to sexual health.
Fronting the campaign titled ‘Give a F**k’ is Swedish singer Zara Larsson, who is joined by award-winning English actress Thandie Newton, Broadway star Javier Muñoz, comedian Phoebe Robinson, YouTuber Tyler Oakley, singer Jacob Latimore, and 13 Reasons Why actor Christian Navarro.
The ‘(Durex™)RED Extra Sensitive’ condoms are lubricated for increased sensitivity, which might have you raring to “have sex and save lives,” says the company.
