News of Stan Lee’s passing has left many fans around the world feeling devastated.
The Marvel Comics legend, who has managed to bring to life many of the world’s greatest superheroes, passed away at the age of 95. Lee has made cameos in multiple Marvel movies for years, much to fans’ delight.
These, however, will never be the same with Lee’s passing. Thankfully, Marvel has a stockpile of Lee’s cameos in storage, as he usually films several of these at one go when he comes to the set, so as to avoid traveling unnecessarily to and fro.
For the upcoming Avengers 4, Lee will indeed make an appearance, as confirmed by co-director Joe Russo.
The latter old the BBC that Lee’s cameo had been shot together with his clips for Infinity War, as well as Ant-Man and the Wasp. Russo explained that since Lee doesn’t enjoying flying, the team usually tries to group his cameos together and get him from one set to the other, all in one day.
However, Marvel hasn’t confirmed if Lee will appear in Captain Marvel or Spider-Man: Far From Home. Among other Marvel fans, Disney CEO Bob Iger and Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige were also saddened by Lee’s passing.
Iger has reaped much rewards from the MCU, which was built around Lee’s superhero characters. Feige, on the other hand, had his career built on X-Men films before becoming the president and overseeing Disney’s Marvel films.
Feige described Lee as an extraordinary character, similar to the personalities he created in his comics. Lee, who is considered a superhero to his Marvel fans, had the power to entertain, inspire, and connect with a vast and lively imagination. Feige added that Lee greatly impacted his career and that his extraordinary legacy will “outlive us all.”
