Actress Lindsay Lohan may have departed from her Mean Girls character, ‘Cady Heron’ in 2004, but the next 14 years of her career have seen her being tossed in a chaotic jungle not unlike the one shown in the film.
“I would love to know why I get constantly clobbered in the press,” she tells independent NYC publication Paper Magazine. “I could do 99 things right and one thing wrong, but it’s that one thing that will be focused on.”
Exasperated, she reminds members of the public that she is “also human,” and it’s the nature of humans to make mistakes—but that doesn’t mean she’s lost sight of her sense of self.
In the latest digital cover of Paper Magazine, Lohan revisits her past life as a Disney star in The Parent Trap, and poses as grown-up reimaginations of Disney princesses ‘Snow White’, ‘Aurora’, ‘Ariel’, and ‘Cinderella’.
“Lindsay Lohan breaks the internet,” the headline on the cover reads, referencing not just the recently-premiered Ralph Breaks the Internet, but also her folklore-worthy status as a “troubled” former child star, as depicted by tabloids.
“I am who I am,” says Lohan. “I’m a good person.”
