Samsung Says Its Foldable Smartphone Will Release First Half Of 2019
By Izza Sofia, 11 Jan 2019
Samsung previously unveiled the prototype of its foldable phone back in November 2018.
At this year’s CES trade show, the company showed off its Infinity Flex display through a private presentation. It gave the audience a closer preview of how the final gadget would look like upon commercial release.
While the device was previously teased for a broad 2019 rollout, the smartphone maker has given a more concrete timeframe update. Samsung’s director of product strategy and marketing Suzanne de Silva shared that the smartphone would be up for grabs in the first half of 2019.
De Silva told Digital Trends that Samsung aims to give people their desired larger smartphone interface through this innovative model. The phone will carry thin bezels to provide users a maximum display size.
There is still no word on pricing and precise hardware specifications.
