KFC Announces Ban On Single-Use Plastic Straws Across Its 250 Outlets In France
By Yoon Sann Wong, 28 Jan 2019

After McDonald’s, KFC has announced the ban of single-use plastic straws across each of its 250 outlets in France.
In 2018, the fast food giant’s Singapore arm announced that it would no longer provide plastic straws and lids for beverages across its 84 restaurants island wide, with plastic drink covers solely offered for takeaway beverages.
KFC France shared the news through its ‘#PaillePailleLesPailles’ ad campaign, made by creative agency Hémisphère Droit.
On LinkedIn, KFC France wrote, “KFC is proud to announce today the removal of plastic straws in each of its 250 restaurants in France. These will be replaced by more eco paper straws and available only upon request at the counter.”
“Already adopted in four Parisian restaurants, the approach will be gradually deployed in all our restaurants during the first quarter of 2019,” it added.
