On Friday, Kim Kardashian posted an old photo of herself wearing a figure-hugging gold dress that shows off her curves. She revealed that husband Kanye West had made it for her to wear during her trip to Miami last summer, but she never got around to using it as she opted for “neon vibes instead.”
“Going through old fitting pics and found this gold look that Kanye made for me for my Miami trip last summer (I went w the neon vibes instead) P.S. fast fashion brands, can you please wait until I wear this in real like before you knock it off?” she wrote on Instagram.
Fast fashion retailer Missguided issued a cheeky response to the post, which has since been deleted.
Within hours of Kardashian’s upload, Missguided shared an image of its model wearing an exact knockoff of the dress. “The devil works hard but Missguided works harder. @kimkardashian you’ve only got a few days before this drops online,” the brand said.
This shows how quick fast fashion brands work to ensure looking good doesn’t necessarily means breaking the bank.
