How does a non-football brand grab the attention of a country where this sport is everything?
For Netflix Argentina, the challenge was real when the 2018 World Cup rolled around and took over everyday conversation within the country.
In its case study video, the brand reveals how it hacked the World Cup with help from creative agency Mercado McCann Buenos Aires, Argentina, by anonymously issuing the bold statement, “Don’t Watch Netflix,” knowing full well that Argentineans would not follow these instructions.
