H&M’s latest ‘Conscious Exclusive’ collection line stands out in its own right. The label has taken an extra step in its commitment to environmental efforts with its innovative employment of unusual materials from plant parts to produce outfits that are both chic and bold.
The collection is made from Piñatex, an alternative material for leather from pineapple leaf fibre, bloom foam from algae biomass (yes) and orange fiber textile from orange peels, according to H&M.
The aesthetics of the collection are pretty eclectic, with a range of colors and bold prints. The colors are mostly light and calming, with a focus on coral pink, lavender and blue hues, occasionally contrasted with gold and silver. The bold prints on the apparels, like materials that made them, are inspired from nature’s wonders. Besides shirts and dresses, the collection also includes boots, bags and sandals.
The eco-friendly line dropped online on 11 April. Check out the full collection on H&M Conscious Exclusive to add more ethical fashion to your wardrobe.
