TIME magazine has released its list of 100 most influential people, and it includes former First Lady Michelle Obama.
The ranking features Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and Sandra Oh, who received testimonials written by Gal Gadot and Shonda Rhimes respectively. For Obama, TIME had Beyoncé sharing her thoughts on the former FLOTUS.
Beyoncé described Obama as a “powerful” lady, and that loving her came naturally because of the way “she carried herself.”
She also praised Obama’s “courage” and “discipline” despite being consistently under the spotlight. Still, the down-to-earth figure “continued to be a portrait of grace.”
The pop queen concluded her testimonial by expressing her gratitude to be living in a world where Obama “shines as a beacon of hope.”
While the beautifully written feature has received positive reactions from social media, some conservative critics thought Melania Trump wasn’t held in a similar regard as Obama.
One Twitter user, for instance, wrote that Melania Trump was “way more deserving,” while another pointed out that the current First Lady was never featured in magazines. “So much for #feminism,” the fan wrote.

Ya keep putting her on magazines. How many magazines has the current #FLOTUS been on.. zero... so much for #feminism. The left can #coexist and be tolerant with everyone besides a republican. True hate.— Benji (@smokeater82) April 17, 2019
