Jessie J has joined the list of celebrities to own misspelled tattoos.
The singer flaunted her incredible body in a pink bikini on Instagram, which also revealed her tattoo on her hip. Weirdly enough, the ink displayed a glaring spelling.
Instead of reading, “Don’t lose who you are in the blur of the stars,” from her 2011 song Who You Are, it read, “don’t loose [sic] who you are.”
Knowing haters would criticize her tattoo, Jessie J addressed the mistake before anyone could. She explained that the tattoo was done in Essex when she was 18, and that “the tattoo artist didn’t mention” the typo when she sent in her idea.
She also highlighted that she still does not know “the difference between lose and loose,” and admitted that the reason she wore high-waisted garments all the time was to hide the ink from the public eye.
Jessie J isn’t the first person to face a tattoo blunder. Back in January, Ariana Grande inked her 7 Rings lyrics in Japanese on her palm. Unfortunately, it translated to “shichirin,” which meant “small charcoal grill.”
