While people of today are advising against single-use plastics, those living in the days of Game of Thrones were none the wiser—at least, that’s what is being perceived by viewers of the HBO series’ very last episode.
19 May 2019 marked the end of the eight-season franchise, but audiences don’t think it should be over just yet. Countless gaffes that surfaced, most notably the notorious “Starbucks” coffee cup, have spurred longtime fans to petition for a do-over for season eight. The latest and final blunder probably won’t help things.
Keen-eyed viewers have spotted at least one plastic water bottle in ‘The Iron Throne’, the last episode of the Game of Thrones series. The modern-day object appears at the part where ‘Tyrion Lannister’ tries to get on the good side of a recently established council.
As if that wasn’t enough, a second one can also be found near the chair of ‘Ser Davos Seaworth’.
It appears that the cast of Game of Thrones were especially thirsty this season, with one fan summing the drinkware-themed errors up: “It was a dry-a** season, so I’m sure they were parched.”

THIS IS NOT EVEN FUNNY ANYMORE.
We’ve had a coffe cup, a cameraman, sneakers, Jamie two handed, Drogon flying alone over KL and now a water bottle.

I bet they hid coffee cups and water bottles in every episode. We just have to find them 👀— Ophelia (@HospitalCoffee_) May 20, 2019
Where in the 7 hells did Sam get a drink?? Dany burnt down all the Starbucks in KL?— 🐉 Schmidte_17 🐝 (@Lizard__Bitch) May 20, 2019
