Kylie Jenner is getting dragged by fans for posting a controversial video showing how she supposedly washes her face with her new Kylie Skin ‘Foaming Face Wash’.
The beauty mogul shared a 30-second video on the label’s social media accounts to instruct internet users on how to properly cleanse their faces. The short clip showed Jenner—in a floral face filter—rubbing her face with the foam for approximately 10 seconds, before washing it off with water and drying it off with a towel.
The ad has raised a few eyebrows, as fans told her that she didn’t cleanse long enough to fully remove any products on her face.
Aside from the filter, which blocked out her natural skin, many noticed the residue of her foundation on her towel, indicating that her face wasn’t actually “clean” by the very product she was advertising. One Twitter fan wrote that if she washed her face like how Jenner did, her “acne would be popping.”
Beauty lovers have advised Jenner and other internet users that their faces should be lathered up from “30 seconds to a full minute” to effectively remove makeup off their faces.
This is not the first time Jenner’s beauty line has gotten backlash from fans. Previously, people called her out due to a controversial ingredient in her ‘Walnut Face Scrub’. The company has also been suspected of promoting fake reviews.

Rihanna would have never done this to us— indaddy (@hauntedsexts) May 29, 2019
This just proves that Kylie did no type of research and doesn’t know what she’s doing at all, not even caring she might be damaging her fans faces with horrible advice— Angelina Rose (@Ms_AngelinaRose) May 29, 2019
What’s off to me about Kylie Skin is the fact that she’s selling products she clearly doesn’t even use. Rich bitch goes to expensive dermas lmao. She washed her face for literally SECONDS and her foundation was all over the towel. If I did that my acne would be popping lol https://t.co/arDt7XtGOc— KILLA KUSH (@killakushla) May 30, 2019
this how you wash your face when you can buy new skin— kyn🥢 (@fathedkyn) May 29, 2019
Imagine buying face wash from someone who doesn't even know how to wash their face properly.— Thato (@Mahaliah) May 29, 2019
Sis.... how do you live with yourself knowing you’re a scam..... https://t.co/BKef83JIVb— 𝓈𝒽𝒶𝓏 🍑 (@shaziplier) May 30, 2019
Lmao this is such lazy content! Sis has on a filter so you can't see her skin, washed her face for 0.5 seconds and has the audacity to have foundation on the towel and still post it!!! https://t.co/rik12rlavq— Strawberry Ice cream (non dairy) (@t3niola) May 29, 2019
You washed your face for a total of 7 seconds, dried your face and FOUNDATION came off on the towel, and how are you doing a skincare routine video with a filter on? https://t.co/oNa0OlimY3— 🥯 (@DariaanMichelle) May 29, 2019
Love you Kylie Jenner but if you’re showing people how to wash their face with your products, do it properly. Putting cleanser on your skin for 2 sec & washing it off is not effective in any way, shape, or form. Cleanser needs to be used for at LEAST 30 sec to work effectively https://t.co/rZkDXwwuzA— Heidi Schneider (@HeidiErika) May 29, 2019
