Apple Unveils All-New Mac Pro But Fans Think It’s An Overpriced Cheese Grater
By Izza Sofia, 04 Jun 2019
Apple has unveiled a US$5,999 Mac Pro at the 2019 Worldwide Developers Conference in San Jose, California, but the extravagant product has been likened to a kitchen accessory many already own.
While the new Mac Pro is packed with top-tier hardware, social media users can’t help but notice how alike it is to the appearance of a cheese grater.
According to CNET, the new design is inspired by a former Mac Pro, which also had a mesh pattern, squarish silver case and matching feet and handles. The visible difference between both variations is that the newer one has bigger grater holes.
Internet users have a lot to comment on the new design, with one Twitter user writing, “Love the new Mac Pro design,” along with an image of a regular cheese grater.
Another Twitter user wishes Apple had called the new product, the “iGrater,” instead. Read more hilarious responses below.
