Fans are amused at a spelling blunder found on Taylor Swift’s merchandise.
The garment in question is a t-shirt displaying the words, “YOUR’E [sic] THE ONLY ONE OF YOU BABY THAT’S THE FUN OF YOU.” As it turns out, the word “you’re” was accidentally printed as “your’e.”
The error was highlighted by Twitter user @SavvyStardust, who had the shirt for almost a month, but only noticed the error quite recently. Her tweet has gone viral, and Swift’s fans now are sharing photos of the t-shirt with the same typo that went under their radar.
One such fan, @_kimhanlon, said that the post had impelled her to check her apparel, which she already had owned for a month but never noticed.
Optimistic Swifties wondered if the mistake was one of the singer’s clues for upcoming music.
If your’e not a grammar Nazi, you might not have noticed this error at all.
EXCUSE ME! I've had this shirt for nearly a month and you're telling me it's had a typo THIS WHOLE TIME!! pic.twitter.com/8P9p6BPMuV— April 🦋 (@SavvyStardust) June 5, 2019
I can't believe they let this happen! As a technical writer....this really frustrates me. You should definitely contact the return people and see if they can help you with it. Maybe they will waive the return fee for the mistake! INSANE!!! pic.twitter.com/5xQRnTSLPt— Taylor Hamilton (@TayLlama13) June 5, 2019
