Sorority Recruitment Ad Is So Scarring, It’s Inspired Horror Legend Jordan Peele
By Yimin Huang, 06 Jun 2019
An sorority recruitment video from 2016 has sent tremors down viewers’ spines, as it ranks among the creepiest footage they have ever seen. While recruitment can be wild and crazy, this has, no doubt, reached a whole new level. Even Jordan Peele, director of horror blockbusters Get Out and Us, had to step in to make a comment.
The beginning of the video seems typical enough, and sees three sorority sisters preparing to open the door to other members. To the audience’s shock, though, it opens to an entire group of sorority girls who stretch out their hands to “greet” newcomers, chanting, “I want to go ADPi!”
Responses have been unanimously negative, with one Twitter user calling it “an inside look at hell,” while another has posted a version with the chilling music of Us.
A creative Twitter user says he “tweaked the sorority video to make it…less terrifying” only to show an image depicting hellfire.
All the commotion has found its way to horror film director Jordan Peele, who responds that the video could be a source of “great inspiration” along with eerie pictures of Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner staring through a window at Buckingham Palace. The possibilities are endless.

Between this and that terrifying sorority video, I’ve been getting a lot of great inspiration recently. https://t.co/QMEmYlPQDr— Jordan Peele (@JordanPeele) June 4, 2019
