In addition to wearing white at a banquet with British royals, US First Lady Melania Trump made several references to the nation in her fashion choices during her visit to the UK.
Last Sunday, right before Melania Trump left Washington DC for the UK, she wore a US$4,400 Gucci dress featuring British landmarks and icons such as the Big Ben, Tower Bridge, red double-decker buses and the Westminster Parliament.

Upon her touchdown to UK, she was captured wearing a £650 (US$822.22) pussy bow blouse by prominent British brand Burberry showing reference to British flag and military medals.

Finally, Melania Trump was fully prepared to meet the Queen with the legendary Dolce & Gabbana ensemble. The white con dress with navy blue trim was a nod to the outfits worn by Meghan Markle back in June 2018, and Princess Diana all the way back in May 1986, according to INSIDER.

On Tuesday, the First Lady gave a final nod to British style, albeit in subtle way. She wore a camel trench coat by French design house Celine as she met with British Prime Minister Theresa May and her husband Philip, but the outerwearb is widely recognized as a British creation as Burberry and Aquascutum first made it a fashion statement, according to Smithsonian.com.

A former model, fashion is certainly Melania Trump’s strong suit as she gave multiple references to UK in many creative ways.
