Memorabilia from the last few decades is getting a second life. In the past month, Coca-Cola, Nike and Microsoft have all gone nostalgic and brought fans back to their youth again.
A photo revealing names of movies that are currently showing has made it more difficult to discern which era the world is in. Shared by New York Times bestselling author Tom Taylor, the image has since been retweeted over 10,000 times.
The photograph, taken near a theater called Edwards Cinema, shows a list of films that existed in the 80s and 90s. The lineup comprises: Toy Story (from 1995); Men in Black (from 1997); Godzilla (from 1998); Aladdin (from 1992); Child’s Play (from 1988). All of these movies were rebooted and released in 2019.
“This is an especially cruel trick to play on time travelers,” Taylor describes. Indeed.
