Kate Middleton Honors Princess Diana At Archie’s Christening With Sweet Tribute
By Yimin Huang, 09 Jul 2019
Kate Middleton made a tribute to her late mother-in-law Princess Diana at the christening of baby Archie, son of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, by wearing a pair of earrings that holds great significance.
For the occasion, the Duchess of Cambridge wore a pink Stella McCartney dress with the very same pair of pearl earrings that Prince Diana wore back at Prince Harry’s christening in 1984. To complete the look, she also put on a Juliette Botterill headband and a pair of Emily London red pumps.
The pearl earrings are from Collingwood, and have been worn by Kate Middleton on important occasions, including a State Banquet in October 2018 honoring King Willem-Alexander and Queen Maxima of the Netherlands, according to Harper’s Bazaar.
It can be said that Middleton really loves the jewelry previously flaunted by Princess Diana. By donning it during Archie’s christening, there is a sense of a cycle of blessings being passed down the generations.
