Kanye West is taking inspiration from Star Wars to design homes for the homeless, and they admittedly mirror the aesthetics of his streetwear label, YEEZY.
‘Luke Skywalker’s igloo-like house on the desert planet of ‘Tatooine’ serves as inspiration for the architecture of West’s forthcoming project, as reported by Forbes.
The musician and designer is working with a team to create
prefabricated housing bearing similar aesthetics to those in Star Wars: A New Hope for “low-income” residents.
Kanye West’s ideas are quickly coming to fruition, as physical prototypes are already underway. Forbes senior editor Zack O’Malley Greenburg describes them as oblong, measuring at dozens of feet in height, and akin to “skeletons of wooden spaceships.” However, visuals of the futuristic homes are not ready to be viewed by the public.
West believes the housing can be “sunk into the ground,” with light pouring in from above. One can only wonder how the Star Wars-inspired architecture will turn out.

Kanye West is reportedly developing ‘STAR WARS’-themed low income housing that resembles Luke Skywalker’s house from ‘Star Wars: A New Hope’. He is set to have an upcoming meeting in San Francisco with potential investors regarding the project.
