A human-sized jellyfish gave a duo of divers a sight of a lifetime during their recent swim at the coast of Cornwall, England.
The mammoth creature was photographed underwater alongside wildlife broadcaster Lizzie Daly, who was raising awareness about marine wildlife as part of her ‘Wild Ocean Week’ campaign.
Daly, together with underwater cameraman Dan Abbott, explored the waters of Britain to raise funds for the Marine Conservation Society, and countered many sea creatures along the way, including seals, minke whales and seabirds.
What surprised them most was the appearance of a majestic creature just off the shore of Falmouth. The jellyfish was approximately 1.5 meters long (4.92 feet) and 0.5 meters (1.64 feet) in diameter, and was described by the pair as “incredible.”
The two were in awe of its sheer size and how fortunate they were from the whole experience, as you can imagine by checking out the stunning footage below.
