Hospital Dresses Newborn Babies Up As Adorable Pickles For Annual Festival
By Yimin Huang, 30 Jul 2019

The UPMC Magee-Womens Hospital in Pittsburgh dressed newborn babies in green knit blankets and hats to resemble adorable pickles. Besides that, they were also given customized onesies with the humorous pun “special dill-ivery.”
The infants were dressed up to celebrate the city’s annual Picklesburgh festival, where people participate in pickle-themed activities and get to try a range of pickled dishes.
The outfits were made by a nurse and even included green bumps to resemble the food, according to Today.
The pickle-themed festival was held between 26 July and 28 July, serving “handcrafted prepared foods” and “artisan cocktails” with pickled ingredients to those in attendance. Pickle juice-drinking competitions were also held, and chefs were there to offer tips on how to cook with the ingredients.
It does look like pickles are a pretty big “dill” in the city.
