‘Friends’ Deleted Scene Proves ‘Ross’ Wasn’t Such A Careless Father

In Friends, ‘Ross Geller’ was known for being married three times, his love for dinosaurs, and likely spiking the use of the word, “pivot.” However, he was not exactly recognized for his parenting skills despite fathering ‘Ben’ from his first marriage and ‘Emma’ from his little encounter with ‘Rachel’.
In fact, Cole Sprouse, who played ‘Ben’ in the second half of the popular sitcom, did not appear after season eight. He even admitted on Twitter this year that ‘Ross’, portrayed by David Schwimmer, was “never really the most present father.”
Critics would agree that Ross was never really the most present father, and so it doesn't surprise me too much.— Actually Cole Sprouse (@actually_cole) January 30, 2019
To put things into perspective, ‘Ross’ even considered leaving his life behind and uprooting to London to be with his second wife, ‘Emily’.
The character has been deemed by many as arguably the show’s most annoying role, but he does have his redeeming qualities. As it seems, ‘Ross’ would have been a lot more likable if the sitcom’s producers had not deleted a scene that was potentially central to his character development.
A clip posted on YouTube, discovered by Metro.co.uk, shows that ‘Ross’ did want his son to move to London with him, and pleaded with ‘Carol’ and ‘Susan’ to make the shift.
“They have a queen…” he coaxed ‘Carol’. “She’s a woman.”
Of course, the couple declined his request. You can catch the minute-long scene below.
