J.K. Rowling teased fans with a possible rebirth of the Harry Potter franchise yesterday.
In a cryptic tweet, the author shared a picture depicting the ‘Death Eater’ skull and ‘Slytherin’ House snake, writing, “Sometimes, darkness comes from unexpected places #HarryPotter #CursedChild.”
It has been six months since the renowned author updated her Twitter, so Harry Potter fans were hoping the tweet was in reference to an upcoming Cursed Child film inspired by the famed stage play.

However, it seems that audiences might be disappointed, as official Harry Potter site Pottermore has confirmed that while a Cursed Child-themed project was underway, it was “not a movie.”
Fans were expectedly underwhelmed when that project was revealed to be… a new Cursed Child logo.
