League of Legends just turned 10, celebrating the milestone with a new official logo. Ironically, the redesign has been likened to those of lower-quality games that have just entered the market.
Video game developer Riot Games unveiled the new look earlier this week. For the most part, the branding has been met with revulsion, but it’s probably because some fans are steadfast to the old one.
“The new logo feels like it’s gonna assault me with an ad at least twice [with a] YouTube video,” one gamer shares on Reddit. One Twitter user says it’s reminiscent of ‘WordArt’ done on Microsoft Word.
Others agree it’s a matter of getting used to, though one sentiment can’t seem to be shaken off: why fix something that isn’t broken?
