Prince Harry and Ed Sheeran have unexpectedly united for a project. However, instead of a collaborative track like the several that the singer recently launched with fellow musicians, this project with the royal is focused on World Mental Health Awareness Day.
In a video posted on the official Instagram account of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle on Thursday, Sheeran is seen visiting Prince Harry at Princess Eugenie’s home. He rings the doorbell, which plays the tune of God Save The Queen!, and is greeted by Prince Harry in a gray polo t-shirt.
he Duke of Sussexs ays in jest, “It’s like looking in the mirror,” as he shakes hands with fellow redhead Sheeran, who is also dressed in gray.
The video then transitions into a skit that sees the Duke discussing about raising awareness on an issue, to which Sheeran agrees to help out with.
The conversation gets awkward as Sheeran proves to have misunderstood the project, thinking it was about standing up to people against gingers rather than mental health awareness. Upon realizing the gaffe, he secretly deletes the header of his presentation slide, which reads, “GINGERS UNITE.”
At the end, the two gingers are shown seated together as the Duke encourages viewers to “reach out” and “look out for anybody who might be suffering in silence,” reminding that “we are all in this together.”
