Burger King Debuts ‘Silent Drive Thru’ For Shy People To Order Without Talking

If your idea of a perfect customer service experience involves no talking, then read ahead.
Burger King Finland has teamed up with advertising agency Superson to create the “world’s first silent drive-thru.”
The mobile innovation encourages customers to register on an app called Restis, where they order, pay and pick up the order from a designated silent drive area.
According to Burger King Finland’s marketing director Toni Flyckt, that is a dream come true to Finns. Flyckt explained that Finns are generally private and shy people who don’t enjoy talking to strangers, and this includes picking up food.
Therefore, the company decided to create a “new kind of drive thru service” to cater to them. The new innovation also reduces seven to eight minutes off the traditional drive-thru, which is good for the environment as it cuts unnecessary idling time.
Aside from creating a global innovation, Flyckt added that the silence allows people to think.
This spring, we decided to play with the stereotype of shy Finns and here is what happened.@BurgerKing presents: World's first 100% Silent Drive-thru service for silent Finns. #burgerking #superson #marketing #pr #advertising #markkinointi #shhhh pic.twitter.com/qzrVL6MJOw— Superson (@SupersonTweets) September 19, 2019
