Adobe’s Photoshop Camera Has Chock-Full Of Features That Amplify ‘Gram Game
By Izza Sofia, 05 Nov 2019
Adobe has announced its new AI-driven photo editing app, the Photoshop Camera.
Available in both iOS and Android, the smartphone app will instantaneously analyse your photo after you have taken a picture and offer you a chock-full of enhancements.
You will be prompted to edit from basics such as shadows and highlights, or more advanced options such as switching the sky to a cityscape.
The Photoshop Camera also recognizes the contents in the photo, such as food or people, and offers the user the right image filters to apply. These filters can also be used in real time, or applied to the snaps in the camera roll.
This app aims to simplify the editing process of an image by automatically making adjustments based on the technical content of the photo. The app also offers manual image adjustments for those who prefer fine-tuning on their own.
In Adobe’s blog post, CTO Abhay Parasnis mentioned that the company plans to expand its focus in delivering creative tools for everyone by first launching the Photoshop Camera.
The app also uses Sensei to make a clean selection tool around the subject in the photo. After highlighting the subject, a bokeh effect can be applied to it.
Those who are keen to try out the app can sign up for its preview here. Adobe is set to officially launch the app in early 2020.
