Many might recall iconic music brand names but when it comes down to the exact imagery, would you be able to remember their symbols and draw them out accurately without any visual aid?
Online ticket marketplace TickPick brought together 102 Americans to sketch out logos of musicians and bands in the likes of Nirvana, The Rolling Stones and Jonas Brothers purely from their memory.
The report collated around 1,300 renders, and five judges were enlisted to rate the drawings from one to 10, with 10 being the most accurate.
With that, the most accurate user-generated drawings for performers were topped by rock bands such as Nirvana, Kiss, and The Rolling Stones. Even so, the highest score was 3.3. The emblems of Wu-Tang Clan, Deadmau5 and Jonas Brothers had the lowest brand recall in this category.
When tested on the most memorable music streaming platform, Pandora’s logo had the highest average accuracy score, followed by those of Spotify, SoundCloud and Apple Music.
Take a look at the user-generated renderings below. For the full report, head here.
