Somersby Cider has revealed a vibrant new logo and packaging created by brand design consultancy Elmwood, which has simplified its visual identity to present friendlier vibes.
The new design retains the apple tree but stylizes it in a way where its textures are shifted into simpler color blocks. The emblem is now topped in swirls, with the various flavors mixed into the design accordingly.
For example, the blackberry flavor incorporates swirls in distinct purple shades, indicating the color of the fruit. The massive, brightly-lit sun behind the tree is now clean yellow vectors, and the typeface has been formatted to look crisper.
The agency, Elmwood, revealed the concept to be “refreshingly optimistic” and “a rallying cry” to encourage consumers to “come together, enjoy carefree time and embrace life.”
Somersby’s updated cans are available in a similar design but with a solid white background, allowing the logo to stand out.
The array of flavors include Apple, Blueberry, Sparkling Secco, Elderflower & Lime, Red Rhubarb, Watermelon, Sparkling Rose, Citrus, and Sparkling Spritz.
