Google Wraps Up 2019 With The World’s Top Searches, And Heroes Saved The Year
By Izza Sofia, 11 Dec 2019
As 2019 comes to an end, Google has decided to wrap up the year with its annual ‘Year in Search’ review.
The tech giant compiled data from throughout the year and broke it down into a short video of what was hot in 2019.
According to the tech giant, superheroes soared the highest, with Avengers: Endgame being at the top of movie searches around the world. Captain Marvel was listed as second and Spider-Man: Far From Home sat in third place. The term “hero,” too, was searched more than the word “villain” globally.
Billy Porter’s extraordinary red carpet ensembles placed him at the top of the ‘People of the Red Carpet’ list, followed by Cardi B and Lady Gaga.
Unsurprisingly, adorable Baby Yoda also became a top-trending figure among internet users.
