Kylie Jenner has been hit by criticism after she shared a photo of herself wearing her hair in twists in a photoshoot.
Jenner posted the photo on Instagram wearing that hairstyle, which is coined as “a protective hairstyle” among the black community. She immediately took down the post after receiving immense backlash from the public.
Although Jenner has removed the image, it is still visible on the accounts of photographers that took that shot. Brothers Luca and Alessandro Morelli uploaded the snap showing Jenner rocking that hair while posing seductively with her tongue licking her lips.
“She wants to be a black woman so bad,” one Twitter user commented on Jenner’s photo. “She finna claim this hairstyle like they do everything that’s not theirs,” another said.
One Twitter user pointed out how black people are “losing jobs” and are viewed as “ghetto” for wearing “protective hairstyles” but “white people see it as fashion.”
