Pepsi wants to add sparkle to your love life with its own effervescent touch.
The beverage giant has created a Pepsi Engagement Ring with a lab-ground, 1/53 carat alternative diamond and platinum band. The rock is a dazzling Crystal… Pepsi.
According to The Drum, Pepsi prepared the alternative, sustainable diamond by boiling down Crystal Pepsi to its simplest carbon form, and then mixed the powder into a real diamond. The resulting effect is a “ring with taste.”
The ring will be given away as part of a Twitter campaign running through 6 March 2020, and Pepsi will announce which lucky person gets to propose with the gem on 16 March 2020, ahead of National Proposal Day on 20 March.
The activation was launched with the help of digital agency VaynerMedia.
Propose how you’d propose for a chance to do it with The Pepsi Engagement Ring - the only ring made with real Crystal Pepsi. Really.@Pepsi with #PepsiProposal #contest for a chance to win.— Pepsi (@pepsi) February 13, 2020
