Fans of late NBA star Kobe Bryant might soon get their hands on the Lakers-themed Zoom Kobe 5 Protro sneakers on 26 March 2020, per Footwear News.
Following the demise of the basketball athlete, the demand for Bryant-centered merchandise has skyrocketed. A recent ban by eBay saw overpriced memorabilia items from Bryant’s memorial service being removed from the site this week.
Now, the sneakers Bryant wore during the 2010 NBA Finals might be making a comeback. The new Kobe 5 Protro will purportedly feature Lakers’ colors, purple and gold, and receive an update in wearable technology.
Nike has yet to confirm the release, though fans saw a sneak preview of the sneakers when Anthony Davis wore this colorway to the NBA All-Star Game this month.
