Arnold Schwarzenegger will be teaming up with social media platform TikTok to raise funds for children affected by the novel coronavirus outbreak in the United States.
TikTok has pledged US$3 million to the actor’s foundation, After-School All-Stars, which strives to improve after-school curriculums for kids. Schwarzenegger’s foundation will work on delivering food and supermarket gift cards to families impacted by the COVID-19 spread across the country.
The foundation joined forces with local supermarkets, such as Food Land, Giant, Kroger, Target, Walmart and more, to give out food vouchers to the families.
The Terminator actor announced the new initiative via a short clip on the platform. “TikTok came along and said we are the ones that are going to donate the millions of dollars to help feed those families,” he told in a clip.
