The Big Apple is looking more like the postcards, now that millions are staying at home to fight the spread of COVID-19.
As the tourism industry arrives at a standstill from travel restrictions and residents practice social distancing, photographers have captured gripping images of the city’s now-empty streets and landmarks.
The photos show little semblance of the ever-busy Times Square and routinely-packed subway stations. Without the crowds, it seems as if the vital spark of NYC is paling.
For once, the city that never sleeps seems to be in slumber.
