Disney Overhauls Park Castles Around The World As Tribute To Healthcare Workers

Disney parks around the world honored health professionals on World Health Day in a magical way.
World Health Day, which falls on 7 April, pays tribute to individuals in the medical sector, but this year carried a much more special meaning due to the coronavirus crisis.
Disneyland theme parks all around the globe united to express their “thanks and appreciation” to “the brave healthcare providers who are helping so many,” according to a blog post from the company.
Cinderella’s Castle in Disneyland Orlando lit up in bright blue to spread the message of “hope and gratitude.” Cast members at Disneyland Resort also expressed their gratitude by writing out “Thank you” using flower petals.
At Shanghai Disney Resort, the Enchanted Storybook Castle displayed “thank you” in different languages for the health heroes around the world.
Disneyland Paris, on the other hand, honored frontline workers with a floral arrangement display in front of the park’s castle that spelled out “Merci.”
The attractions are expressing solidarity with medical workers as they remain closed until further notice.

Disney also projected “thank you” onto the Enchanted Storybook Castle at Shanghai Disneyland to show their gratitude.
