As the COVID-19 situation persists, people are retreating to the world of Animal Crossing: New Horizons and finding weird new best friends in non-playing characters. The ability to personalize in the Nintendo Switch game is incredible, with countless user-created custom designs available for free so players can spiff up clothing, signboards, and pathways. One fan, though, has taken this freedom of customization to great extremes in the real world—by incorporating gameplay into foreplay.
As reported by Motherboard, Kyle Machulis—the creator of an open-source project called the Buttplug Sex Toy Control Project—might have taken things a little too far in efforts to bring extra buzz to interactions during island tours. So far, that the sun don’t shine there.
Machulis has worked on a technique to trigger adult toys each time an Animal Crossing: New Horizons player does something in the game that would normally set off a vibration in Nintendo Switch controllers, such as successfully catching a fish and chopping down a tree.
Developing the feature, which he demonstrated in a video with a Lovense ‘Hush’ buttplug, involved Machulis hooking up an Intiface Game Haptics Router with a Nintendo Switch running Animal Crossing: New Horizon.
Machulis said cam models have been asking for a haptic control device that could trigger a vibration whenever, say, they were paid by fans to cut down trees.
The haptic reactions might also help spice things up for players plagued by quarantine horniness. Sadly, getting kinky in front of Tom Nook won’t pay off your crippling debt.
