UNO just threw a wild card at the majority with an all-new ‘Left Hand UNO!’ deck.
For international Left-Handers Day, Mattel redesigned the classic card game so lefties can finally get a better view of their hand and put right-handers “at a disadvantage.” The company says the pack is the “first-ever deck created for left-handed players.”
By switching the numbers reflected on the deck to the opposite side, right-handed players can finally experience a fraction of the daily struggle left-handers face as they adjust their natural reflexes for the masses.
“UNO prides itself on having a finger on the pulse of pop culture, and today, in honor of International Left-Handers Day—we are introducing Left Hand UNO, the first-ever deck created for left-handed players,” said Ray Adler, Global Head of Mattel Games, in a press release. “As the #1 card game in the world, we are always listening our player’s feedback to help drive innovation, and Left Hand UNO is no different. We are thrilled to now officially give our left-handers a new way to own game night.”
The pack has a suggested retail price of US$5.99 and can now be purchased at Walmart.com.
